We believe that boarding offers tremendous benefits of a fully rounded education – academically, socially, emotionally and spiritually. Boarding contributes to the development of important transferable skills such as personal responsibility, communication, teamwork, self-motivation and adaptability. Most of all boarding at Ratcliffe is fun – ask the students! There are so many activities available to boarders throughout the week, as well as on weekends. All students at Ratcliffe are therefore encouraged to participate in boarding during their years at school; as full, weekly or occasional boarders.
There are also opportunities for occasional boarding for days pupils, to support modern-day living and the occasional demands upon parents to travel in term time. Whatever the level of boarding, all of our students view their experiences here at Ratcliffe as family-centred, full of fun and happiness, as recognised by our Outstanding Ofsted Report. We genuinely care about every single child, as our Aims of Boarding indicate.
