Development at Ratcliffe College

RatcliffeRatcliffe College was established in 1847 by the Institute of Charity, led by Fr. Antonio Rosmini, who set up the School to provide a fulfilling Catholic education for its pupils. The School has always placed great emphasis on developing the whole person and enabling them to meet their God-given potential through a wide range of academic and extra-curricular activites.

The Rosminiann maxim, and our School motto, 'Charity is the fulfilment of the law', is as true today as it was then. For, without the financial support of various local benefactors at the time, the School would never have developed into the wonderful place of temporal, spiritual and physical learning that we now see.

We wish to ensure that our students at Ratcliffe continue to benefit from a range of first-class facilities during their time at the School. However, like many other independent schools, Ratcliffe College is not supported by any significant endowments and reliance on fee income is simply not sufficient to meet the school's ongoing development needs.
