Boarders’ Ten Pin Bowling Trip 4th December 2011
With the weather finally taking a turn for the worse, the boarders turned their attentions to indoor activities with a trip to the Nottingham 10-pin Bowling Centre. Knowing the sport to be such an athletic challenge, the boarders prepared with a hearty Sunday lunch, essential for providing the energy levels to sustain effort during such a gruelling sporting event.
Victor and Stan were amongst the most stylish bowlers present, but also collected some of the lowest scores, whilst Bishnu managed to bowl his ball into the wrong lane. Chris and Harry enjoyed remarkable success with their previously unheralded tactic of bouncing the ball off the bumpers a minimum of 8 times before delivering a strike. Carter was the pick of the students and soared to victory after Miss Spencer had retired with a ‘shoulder injury’ to focus on her curly fries and coke.
