Silent Disco - silent disco

Every year the Applied Business Studies year 13 group, as part of their portfolio requirements, arrange a charity event. This year the group decided to organise a Silent Disco for the Senior School. They also held a few mini fundraising activities, including cake sales, a competition to guess ‘how many sweets in the jar’, a raffle with some superb prizes kindly donated by the students and their families, a competition to guess ‘the weight of the teddy bear’ and a hockey match, between the students and teachers, which resulted in a 2:2 draw.

All of the events were hugely successful, the students that attended the Disco had a super time and really enjoyed the decorations and themes that the Business Group had worked hard to put together. Overall the group raised an impressive £1124, which is being donated to both ‘Help the Hero’s’ and the school’s annual trip to Lourdes.

All of the students from the Business Group are in the photograph along with their tutor, Miss Tiffany Spencer.
