We are delighted to welcome you to the Ratcliffe College Junior School.
As a staff we are committed to making each child’s time in the Junior School a happy one. We aim to develop his or her full potential in all areas of the life at Ratcliffe, so that they may in time embark upon their secondary education with confidence and enthusiasm.
We believe that education is a partnership between home and school, with the child at the centre.
Our recent School Inspection recognised how well the needs of our pupils are addressed in all areas of life, from teaching and learning, to sporting, musical, dramatic, spiritual and moral development. The report also recognised that we are an exceptionally happy and caring school which nurtures confidence in our pupils and where the quality of learning is excellent.
Academic Programme
Ratcliffe College Junior School has expanded rapidly in recent years and offers a full, all-round education which encourages the children to thrive. The small class sizes, together with the warm and friendly environment in which the children work and play, enable them to reach their full academic potential, whilst having the opportunity to experience many extra-curricular activities. We benefit enormously from sharing the campus of the Senior School; this allows us to make use of the many wonderful facilities, from the School Church to the swimming pool and sports fields. It also aids the transition from primary to secondary education.
Class sizes are small, allowing for individual attention and ensuring that all children can achieve their potential. Ratcliffe College’s Catholic ethos is at the centre of all that we do and provides a very special and caring atmosphere, which makes the children feel safe and secure, whilst building appropriate confidence and self-esteem.
